Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council Update
November 11, 2019

From:  PSWMSDC Board of Directors
To:        Arizona/San Diego Community and Constituents

The Board of Directors thanks everyone for your support during this time of transition. It is our intent to share with you the direction the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council is taking to ensure that the minority Council and its members and constituents continue to be successful, and are supported by a unified Board of Directors and Council staff that supports certification, promotion, information, and resources that directly contribute to business growth.

The Board of Directors and Council staff are committed to moving forward and are working diligently to provide a path for new leadership to be effective. We have worked endlessly to assure the health of the Council endures the obstacles that have presented itself. The Council staff has provided exceptional support as we continue to certify, advocate, develop, and educate minority businesses.  Many advocates in the community have pledged their support to the Council, and we intend to use this opportunity to include the MBE voice in the selection process. Several individuals have been identified and will be contacted to participate in the selection process in the weeks ahead.

We will continue to advocate and inform the MBE business community as we engage in the executive search activities. The Holiday Season puts a bit more pressure on the Council and we ask for your patience and participation to assure a successful transition to new leadership.

We will act intentionally with the commitment of enrichment of our minority businesses and the community with strong leadership and support.

We look forward to seeing you at the first events in 2020 New Year’s Kickoff Receptions. Watch your email for more details.
