Bob, Adam, Corey and David spent last week at Colorado State University in Fort Collins Colorado at the National Association of Landscape Professionals 44th annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition. This event is an annual three-day powerhouse event which brings together the top landscape and horticulture students, top industry companies and dozens of the biggest industry manufacturers and suppliers. This year 850 students from 55 two- and four-year colleges demonstrate their skills in real-world, competitive events and network with top companies at the largest Career Fair in the industry which we participated alongside 75 other landscape contractors from across the country.
We sponsor the Teams from Oregon State University, Portland Community College, Clackamas Community College, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. As you may know, we have 8 OSU Grads, 2 Cal Poly Grads, 2 PCC Grads, and 2 U of O grads on staff. We're proud to support those programs.
We are particularly Proud of Pacific's Molly Rios-Nogales who is finishing up her associates degree at Portland Community College and competed this year at NCLC. She placed second in the Landscape Business Management Competition. It was fun to support her and the PCC team.
Above are pictures of CCC competing in the Landscape Installation competition, David judging the Employee Development competition, PCC competing in the Landscape Installation competition, Oregon State competing in the Irrigation Installation, Bob presenting on a panel in the Career Development seminar, and an OSU student competing in the Backhoe Competition.
