Synod Youth Ministry Leader Check-In
and Fall Planning Discussion

ALL those who are serving in ministries with children, youth or families (paid, volunteer, lay leader, rostered) are invited to gather together virtually by Zoom on Thursday, September 9 at noon PDT/9 am HST.
We'll check in with one another, discuss fall programming, and look ahead to future ministry leader gatherings. Are there topics you'd like to discuss, speakers you'd care to hear from, books you'd like to study together? This is YOUR community and we want to hear YOUR ideas!
Below is the Zoom information to connect you to this gathering. Please share this information with those you know who are also serving with these ministries. ALL are welcome - regardless of which ELCA Synod you are a part of.

Kickoff Celebration - Now Available to View
The Kickoff Celebration for Youth Gathering 2022 will went live on Sunday, July 25 via Gathering social media. Join Gathering hosts Matthew and Claire and hear from our host city and our partners from across the country, dive into our theme, learn what's new for the 2022 Gathering, and more. The video is now available for congregational groups to view as they start their Gathering planning. Next Steps Conversations

Growing Young isn’t about changing youth ministry,
it’s about changing church culture.
In January-June 2021, our Pacifica Synod Growing Young Team (Pastor Tom Goellrich, Deacon Mindy Bugaj and Terri Robertson) hosted monthly Growing Young Core Commitment Conversations online over Zoom. Over 40 participants from across our synod joined us for these conversations.
In September, we will gather once again for one more conversation, this time giving you the chance to share your plans, what you are already doing and how that's going, and what plans you have for the future. There will be time to share ideas and questions, as we all learn from one another. If you haven't been able to take any additional steps since we last met in June, please join anyway to hear and learn from others. You are encouraged to invite others from your team to attend, but we ask that you share the information for them to register separately so that they receive the Zoom link directly. If you didn't have the opportunity to join us earlier, you are welcome to do so now to see what Growing Young is all about.
As we've done previously, these will be held over Zoom and there are two dates/times to choose to attend, as follows:
Thursday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. PDT/3:30 p.m. HST
Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. PDT/8:00 a.m. HST
