Coaching for All Seasons
Monthly Online Gathering for Rostered & Lay Leaders

A Ritual of Reflection for
the Anniversary of the Beginning of the Pandemic
By Rev. Solveig Nilsen-Goodin
How do we make space to honor not only our grief over the suffering and losses, big and small, but also the gifts, the learnings and the wisdom that have emerged from this painful year?

In this ritual of reflection, you are invited to recognize what you have learned, what wisdom you have gained, and how you want to live differently.

We invite you to join us via Zoom for our next session on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:00-noon (PDT) / 8:00-9:00 a.m. (HST). Pre-registration is required to receive the Zoom link and may be done by clicking here.

Brought to you by –

Your Pacifica Synod Coaching Team to support Synod leaders during challenging times. Each monthly offering brings a presentation on a current topic and an opportunity to discuss it in a small group facilitated by an ELCA coach.

Pacifica Synod has invested in training coaches to work with rostered and lay leaders one-on-one or in groups. A coach’s role is to support leaders in naming challenging issues and identifying constructive responses to them.

Pacifica Women of the ELCA Zoom Event - May 8, 2021
The Simplicity of Life -
A Danish Story About Humility, Society & Faith
After Pastor Gloria’s presentation in January and acting upon her suggestion, the board agreed to hold a Zoom event every other month. We counted the March Event as the next one after January. I am happy to announce Pastor Anne-Grethe Krogh Nielsen will be presenting on Saturday, May 8th at 1:00 p.m. PDT. She says it will center on the Danish hymn writer and Lutheran church reformer, N.F.S. Grundtvig and how history formed the Danish way of living and being a society, where “few have too much and less too little”. Pastor Anne-Grethe closed our November 2020 Zoom Event with a wonderful meditation and prayer and she is currently serving Emanuel Danish Lutheran Church in Yorba Linda. Join this event on Zoom with the link below.

As Pacifica Women of the ELCA, we have been celebrating and highlighting the ordination of women and their journeys to that calling. Here is another chance to hear and understand another story.
