, a research and advisor company, we know that demand for packaged rice snacks is expected to grow by $6.13 billion between 2020-2024 worldwide.
As more consumers are consciously moving away from eating foods that contain wheat and gluten it makes sense that demand for rice snack foods is taking off since rice–based snack foods are easier for the human body to digest than products that contain wheat.
What most people don’t know about rice is that it’s also packed with vitamins including Vitamin B, niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, magnesium and manganese as well.
No Longer Just A Health Fad
In 2020, more snacks are being produced than ever before that have rice as their base ingredient including rice crackers and rice crisps. Rice cakes also continue to be a staple in the diets of many consumers around the world and there are more rice cakes on the market today that have a wide variety of flavors and ingredients than rice snacks from years past.
Although rice cakes were once considered to be a fad in the 1980’s, more people from all ages and all walks of life are open to consuming rice cakes and other rice snack treats because they are a convenient snack food that’s easy to eat and consume.
