Dedicated to keeping Packard on the road!
 Max Merritt Vendor Spotlight
Custom Auto Service
Packards have always been a cut above. In the 1920s, the marque outsold Cadillac and was considered the American Rolls-Royce.

Today, if you want to find out about Packards, all you need to do is ask Robert Escalante. Escalante owns Custom Auto Service, a Santa Ana shop that is known throughout the country for Packard restoration and maintenance.

A walk through the establishment - housed in a building that was home to an electric car dealership early in the last century and later a truck dealer - is a step back in time to delight any car buff. Though the last cars to bear the Packard name were built in 1958, the marque is alive and well here at Custom Auto Service.

Authenticity is the byword for Custom Auto Service restorations — Packards entrusted to this establishment have been completed and competed successfully throughout the country at numerous Concours. Custom Auto Service is one of Max Merritt's loyal customers. Give them a call for all your Packard restoration needs!

1948-50 Packard Backup Light w/Switch. New reproduction. Packard branded!

It also has the rare mounting bracket and switch. Very hard to find this option! The light is a brand new reproduction with PACKARD branding on top. The bracket is NOS. The switch has been remanufactured and tested.

The switch is a 4 position switch which is a reverse lock out switch for transmissions with OD. This thing looks awesome lit up!

Great for your Packard restoration project or upgrade to your daily driver!

Claude Bradford - Bakersfield, CA

 1946 Deluxe Clipper
This 1946 Packard is my only car that has been restored. It was something that was on my “bucket” list. This car started as a rust bucket that my friend found in a farmer's field. I bought it from him for $500.

I purchased many parts from Max Merritt Packard Parts. Some of those included, hub caps, hood ornament, and door parts. While I found that it is difficult to find parts, I was fortunate to find Max Merritt Packard Parts on the internet.

1955 Packard Patrician
Luxury Car from a Bygone Era

AutoMoments

With a 5.7 liter V8 and "Ultramatic" transmission, this 1955 Packard is a rarity for sure. It takes you back to a time before the BMW 3 Series set a precedent that luxury had to mean performance. While the Patrician is far from perfect, it's a great piece of history, and the ride really is sublime
