Suspension Rebuild Process!

Need your Packard suspension upgraded? Check this out!
1935-36 120 models and 1937-47 all models all had front stabilizers with “fixed” end links that were rubber vulcanized to the stabilizer bar. As the rubber deteriorates, the “fixed" end links were not replaceable and a re-vulcanizing service was not available. The option was to replace the entire assembly, IF a new unit could be found. We made new end links with screw caps and internal rubber pads on them, allowing these new end links to be easily attached to the existing stabilizer bar.
We have Stabilizer Link Assemblies available for the following models:
1935-39 - ALL MODELS 1940 - 110, 120, Super 8 MODELS 1941-47 - ALL MODELS

1940's Packard Master Salesman Program w/ Phono, Film & Projector!!! RARE!!!
|
|
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a factory Packard sales training package. It has the Packard factory sales training albums and matching films accompanied with an Explainette portable combination phono / projector in working condition. This would have been used to train Packard sales representatives using this portable system to go from dealer to dealer! The records have matching film strips. As the record plays, a beep sound is played indicating when to advance the film strip one frame. The projector has a film advance button just below the "PHONO. & PROJ." switches. The film strip and recording were used as a training tool to sell Packard automobiles. It has 10 film strips and corresponding LP albums.
The film projector works properly and is easily focused. The film advance button works smoothly. The phonograph spins the record and the arm moves freely. The needle is replaceable and it comes with spare needles. The volume adjustment works and humming can be heard from the speaker. The sound will come from the phonograph but is not clearly amplified. A new pickup head may be required to fix this issue. We can post a video if you are interested in seeing it operating!
This is an incredible piece of automotive history and
is a "must have" for the Packard enthusiast
to complete your accessory collection!! This is a "One of a Kind", "Once in a Lifetime" opportunity. Don't miss out one this rare piece of Packard Americana!!!

Packard News!
Last Packard Produced on 6/25/56
The last Packard–the classic American luxury car with the famously enigmatic slogan “Ask the Man Who Owns One”–rolls off the production line at Packard’s plant in Detroit, Michigan on June 25th in 1956.
With sales dwindling by the 1950s, Packard merged with the much larger Studebaker Corporation in the hope of cutting its production costs. The new Packard-Studebaker became the fourth largest manufacturer of cars in the nation. Studebaker was struggling as well, however, and eventually dropped all its own big cars as well as the Packard. In 1956, Packard-Studebaker’s then-president, James Nance, made the decision to suspend Packard’s manufacturing operations in Detroit. Though the company would continue to manufacture cars in South Bend, Indiana, until 1958, the final model produced on June 25, 1956, is considered the last true Packard.
