John Chin is interim dean of the Asian American/Asian Research Institute (AAARI), a University-wide research and resource center organizationally housed under Queens College. He regularly collaborates with CUNY faculty and community leaders on a range of projects that center on Asian American issues and concerns. His research focuses on access to social and health services for under-served urban communities, particularly Asian immigrant communities. While he serves in this interim role, Dr. Chin is on leave from his faculty position at Hunter College, where he serves as a professor and chair of the Department of Urban Policy and Planning.
