Grapevine Daily Quote
"Often in sobriety, I've prayed when I needed to meditate. I've yammered at God so much that God can't get a word in edgewise. (What I practice with people, I cannot help but practice with God.) To me, meditation is simply being quiet and listening for a change. It is buttoning up my lip - and my mind that yaps even when my mouth is shut."

36th Annual Tri-State Roundup

Happy to announce that the 36th Annual Tri-State Roundup to be held at Don Laughlin's Riverside Casino in Laughlin, NV on May 13th-16th, 2021

Registration is now open and currently there is a limited amount of space open for registrants. We will be adhering to the hotel guidelines of 35% capacity, which is a fluid, ever-changing situation. The hope that as the Roundup moves closer to the event date that the numbers will increase, which will allow us to open more spots for attendees to come enjoy fellowship on the river.

Communication Through the Structure
Keeping a balance between ultimate authority and responsibility and the active, day to day functioning of world services means there must be constant communication among all elements of structure.

The Group: The communication process starts with the Group, which lets its Group conscience - for or against change, approval or disapproval of a proposed action - be known to its elected general service representative (GSR). The GSR makes sure the Group's wishes are heard and fully considered at the district and area levels, and that they are part of the delegate's thinking at the Conference. After each annual Conference, the GSR, is responsible for making sure that group members are informed about what went on at the Conference and made aware of the full range of Advisory Actions.
The District: Groups are organized into Districts, collections of Groups located near one another. The GSR of these Groups selects District committee members (DCM's), who become part of the Area committee.

The Area: The US/Canada Conference is divided in 93 Areas, made up of a state or province or part of a state or province, or in some cases part of more than part of more than one state or province.
