Honor Authority
It didn't happen often (cause I was a reasonably good kid, really I was) but there were times when my backside was sore from the spankings my parents gave me. It was painful but effective.  I learned early in my life to respect authority.  That doesn't mean I always have respected authority.  I've had my rebellious moments and some confrontations with those in authority.  However, it was instilled in me at an early age that respecting those in authority over me is fundamental to a good society.  Without it there is anarchy.
Good parenting is an indispensable part of God's plan for His Kingdom.  This Sunday we'll begin to uncover what "Honor Your Mother and Father" looks like for those who follow Jesus Christ! I'll see you Sunday!
-Pastor Kris
