Dear Providence Residents,
Starting today, Northern Virginia will join the rest of the state in the first phase of reopening. Face coverings are also now required in all public places. The data shows that our region meets four of the significant criteria set by Governor Northam to reopen:
- A downward trend of positive tests for over 14 days
- A downward trend of hospitalizations for over 14 days
- An increased capacity for testing
- Sufficient hospital beds and ICU capacity
If we work together as a community to follow the safety guidelines, we can help protect each other and especially the most vulnerable.
Please find several Providence District updates on the topics below in this edition of our newsletter:
- Phase I for Northern Virginia
- COVID-19 Data
- Fairfax County Athletic Fields Reopen
- Grocery Assistance for Seniors
- Summer Metro Closures
- Commuter Biking Program
- Transportation Updates
- Absentee Voting for June 23 Election
- Food for Others Community Food Drive
I hope this newsletter finds you and your family safe and well.
With Gratitude,
Supervisor Dalia Palchik
