Legacies Begin With Our Citizens
|
|
The Late Stanley M. Rumbough, Jr.
The Palm Beach Civic Association is grateful for the support of our Directors and Members who have provided the resources to grow our organization, and enrich the community with advocacy, educational forums, and signature events. For 75 years, the Association has stood by its mission to enhance the quality of life for the residents and businesses in our extraordinary town. Today we are the largest civic focused organization on the island, and well positioned to ensure that the quality of life will remain for generations of Palm Beachers to come.
In 2017 the Civic Association lost a remarkable leader, Stanley M. Rumbough, Jr. In memory of Stan’s forty plus year commitment, and his key role in the development of the Civic Association and its policies, the Rumbough family established the Stanley M. Rumbough, Jr. Legacy Society with a gift of one million dollars. The endowed fund has created an opportunity for all to support the future of this organization through direct and planned gifts. The Rumbough Legacy Society will provide educational forums and programs for future generations.
During this season of giving, we ask that you kindly consider a year-end gift to the Palm Beach Civic Association to support the Stanley M. Rumbough, Jr. Legacy Society,
our ongoing programs, or as a tribute or memorial for someone special. Your tax-deductible donation will honor our founders, our leaders, and our future.

Robert E. Nederlander

Bob Nederlander shares his thoughts about philanthropy and the importance of the Palm Beach Civic Association to the community: "The Town of Palm Beach should be proud to have an organization such as the Palm Beach Civic Association, which is highly respected, active and serves the Town of Palm Beach, in many ways. We are lucky that the Civic Association is an active community organization that is good for the citizens of Palm Beach."

Town Caucus:
Incumbents Will Run Unchallenged
|
|
108th Town of Palm Beach Caucus
As hundreds of merry makers spilled off of Worth Avenue, having cheered on the lighting of the Holiday Tree, three Town Council members accompanied by supporters, were quietly going about the time honored and orderly business of the annual Town Caucus.
It's a tradition borrowed from early New England politics, this year marking the 108th time candidates for Town Council were required to get two nominations, in order to run for a Council seat.
Maggie Zeidman, Bobbie Lindsay and Lew Crampton, all incumbents, are officially seeking another term. There were no late challengers, no lengthy debate.
The 108
th
Town Caucus came off without a hitch.
