Making Masks for Colorado Healthcare Workers
Colorado hospitals need your help. They’re running out of masks and gowns to protect our health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mission partner, Mindful Works has signed up to make and provide masks via the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) website and are seeking volunteers to help make masks. We are seeking loaner sewing machines as well. If you are interested in participating in this effort, please contact Lind Roan-Yaeger at [email protected].
We are currently working on a plan to coordinate pick and delivery of completed masks.
Hope Rings Eternal
Evenings at 6 pm

Our church bells will ring in solidarity with communities all over the
world sending hope out into their communities as we continue to navigate the realities of a modern pandemic. What began with churches in Italy
is making its way around the world. As we continue to pray for continued progress, may these bells go forth as melodic prayers for our community and beyond.
Is Your Phone Ringing?
It could be First Congregational Church calling. The church will be reaching out to all our members and friends over the next several weeks to check in and hopefully brighten your day. Please let us know if the church can assist you in any way. In the meantime, you can reach out to Jessica Austin with any needs you have, the church has volunteers
ready and waiting to help.
Beware of Email Hacking
Pastors and their congregations are becoming more frequent targets of email impersonation for stealing. This past week an email hacker using the name "Rev. Chris Braudaway- Bauman" with an email address other than [email protected] may have tried to reach you. Please note that all of our church staff will only use their official First Congregational Church email address, from @firstcong.net, when sending a message to you. More importantly, be assured that no member of our staff will ever ask you for money via wire transfer or gift cards. If you receive an email claiming to be from a First Congregational Church staff person and something looks amiss, please delete it immediately without responding.
The Church Office is Closed
but the Staff is Here for You
In keeping with Boulder’s Stay at Home order, the church staff is now working completely from home and the church office is closed. Please contact any of us by email (first name: Chris, Pedro, Kajsa, Deborah, Matthew, Christopher, Garry-- [email protected]:) or by phone. We are able to pick up our voicemail messages from the church’s phone system. Garry Garcia, our Office and Facilities Manager can be reached at [email protected] or at 303-442-1787 ext. 0. All church postal mail is being forwarded to Chris’ home address. Chris and Pedro have set up a direct pastoral care phone line which you can call at 303-720-8235. We are available to you, so please feel free to reach out to us.
Just A Closer Walk: A Visual Pilgrimage
Through Our Chapel and Sanctuary
In this time when we are physically separated from one another and worshipping from our homes, we are powerfully reminded that the church is not a building. The church is the people! Still, we thought you’d like to see the places where we usually gather for worship so that you can have them in your mind’s eye as Chris, Pedro and Kajsa lead worship from our homes. We’ll meet you online to praise God together at 10:30 am.
