A Message from Our President

It really does feel like emotional whiplash sometimes - a week can start with energy and optimism and then shift suddenly into uncertainty.

I started drafting this newsletter last Tuesday night after the President’s State of the Union Address. I was excited and invigorated! I agreed with the pundits who stated that it was Trump’s best speech yet. An America First call to action, a reflection of all the accomplishments made in the last year and a heartfelt welcome for so many important American heroes.

Fast forward a few days and here we are. The news from Sunday morning was alarming though I suppose not all that surprising. No matter your personal feelings on the Iran situation, I think we can all agree that our prayers are needed to keep America and our allies safe. Please join me in praying for our men and women in uniform and for a quick resolution to this conflict.

Perhaps we can unify in being both excited about the State of the Union speech and apprehensive about the Middle East conflict. Feeling both emotions isn’t wrong. It’s human.

Scenes from Our February Luncheon

PVRW had a record month of attendance with their February meeting and had a wonderful discussion between Congressman David Schweikert and Congressman Andy Biggs. Thank you to both gentlemen and our amazing moderator Jill Norgaard. And thank you to our members for being flexible in our set up in order to produce the record setting event!
