PASB Identification Cards - Staff and Seniors

PASB believes, as stated in our school mission, that our goals for students can be best reached in a safe and nurturing environment. This school semester, PASB will be implementing the use of IDENTIFICATION CARDS for all staff members and Seniors (12th Grade students).

Identification cards are used to identify staff and students that are not required to wear school uniform as members of the school community. School will provide the identification cards at no cost and they should be worn at all times while on campus. Staff members or students who lose their ID cards can order a new one for R$10,00.

THe ID cards are being printed and will be given out in February.

Brazilian Program News - ENEM and Brazilian University Acceptances

Every year  the INEP (National Institute of Educational Studies AnsioTeixeira) publish the list of schools whose students took the ENEM (National Examination of High School) test, for general ranking. In order to be included in this list, the school must have at least ten senior students taking the test. Pan American School of Bahia helped students in grades 11 and 12 to register for it and we were hoping to be in the list because eleven of our seniors were registered. However, after the school break, two students reported to the Brazilian Department that they chose not to take the ENEM test. This decision left us with only nine students active in the INEP system, and once again our school is not in the list of schools by the official ranking. Internally, on the other hand, we are collecting all the scores, both of the 11 and 12 grades for the purpose of getting our overall average and comparison of results with other good schools in Salvador. This study will be presented to the community soon by our Superintendent. For now, we can feel proud of six seniors who were approved in Brazilian universities: two of them were approved at UFBA and four of them in other high level institutions in Salvador and So Paulo. Go Panthers!
