Congratulations on the first week of school! If you are like me, it was so nice to see your child come to the car excited to tell you about their day and the new friends they have made. Coming up in a few weeks in our first PTO meeting. It will be virtual. Look for the link information soon.

6th Grade Parent Information Meeting With Dr. Shetzer
Tuesday, August 31
6:30 - 7:30 p.m
We will be hosting a parent information virtual event. 
During this meeting we will discuss the bell schedule, student schedules, uniforms, transportation, and any other items you may have questions about.

Panda Partner Updates
Each year, local businesses support Pershing by generously donating money and in-kind gifts to help ensure a stimulating learning environment for our students and teachers.

We are again fortunate to have Houston Orthodontic Specialists as our exclusive Titanium sponsor for the school year! They sponsored our school store’s new shopping totes as well as new Pershing welcome signage on Braes Blvd.
And a big shout out to Event Yard Greetings for the fun first day of school signage, SmooTea for refreshing drinks for teachers and administrators, and to our newest Panda Partner, Ascent Emergency Medical Center, for sponsoring a month-long tent that provides shade for our outdoor eating area.

Update Your VIPS Registration for 2021-2022
If you would like to volunteer at Pershing, then you must complete the short training course with HISD. 

Please make sure that you complete the short training soon because the verification process can take some time. 

Girls Lacrosse is open to girls in Grades 5-8. First practice is Sept 7th.
