Pandemic: Gut Punch to a Pastor
|
|
Every pastor has been feeling the tension of navigating the demands and decisions brought on by this pandemic. You stand on the Word, seek the Lord’s face in prayer, and remain faithful to His call, but the pressure is real from governments, staff, and your own people to do what they instruct or think is best.
You’ve not been here before! You are also not alone. In this webinar Dr. Isaac Hebden, director of Soul Care Ministries and author of “Riverkeepers” e-letter for Open Bible ministers, will lead a discussion with three pastors about “
The Pandemic: Gut Punch to a Pastor
.” This free webinar will focus how to lead when you are feeling the impact of everything on your mind, spirit, and heart.

gut punch
was…opening Sunday of in person services where we had a partner pass away, test positive for COVID-19 postmortem and his wife worked in our nursery that first Sunday. The follow-up was overwhelming and arduous.”

Pastor George Willis
George Willis and his wife Kristen planted Generations Church in 2011, located in Pleasant Hill, California. Prior to that he was a business owner as well as a youth and worship pastor for almost 20 years. Known for his straight talk and relatability to all age groups, Pastor George’s heart is to create an environment that connects the generations while helping equip and encourage them to be all that God has called them to be. This summer, Pastor George and Kristen will celebrate their 23
rd wedding anniversary. They have one young adult daughter, Madison.
"The moment I felt the gut punch was when we surveyed our church (just before our county allowed us to re-open the first time), only to find out that there were a significant number of people -even leaders- who said they would not be comfortable returning to an in person service before the pandemic was fully resolved."
