April GMM to be held at Lincolnland Concrete

Join us at Lincolnland Concrete on April 24th for the April GMM.  Bill Ward with HBAI will be our guest speaker and will fill us in on what we need to know about current legislative issues.

Do you have what it takes?
Albert Einstein... Sir Isaac Newton... Leonardo DaVinci...Benjamin Franklin... Charles Darwin...  What do they all have in common??  They are just a few of smartest people in history. But you don't have to be!  Just come out for a night of fun with general knowledge trivia questions.  Teams of 10 make up a table - don't have a full team?  No problem!  We'll team you up with others.  Prizes will be award to the top three teams.

Want to Make a Difference? Don't Miss Lobby day!

Lobby Day is one of the most important days of our legislative session because it's when HBA members  present our positions to the General Assembly.

Save the date for Tuesday, April 30th. Registration begins at 10:00 am at the Sangamo Club (227 E. Adams St, Springfield, IL 62701). After the briefing, we will head over to the Capitol to meet with our local legislators.

Congrats to the winners of the
2019 Home Expo People's Choice Award!!

THANK YOU to Truss/Slater for hosting the Building Trades Students from Capital Area Career Center last Friday!

Steve Sturm visited the classroom on Thursday to explain how trusses are designed, and Friday he gave a tour of the Truss/Slater office and plant. The students thoroughly enjoyed seeing first hand how trusses and wall panels are made!
