During this COVID-19 crisis, Buckeye Broadband is committed to ensuring that every home has access to an education. With the school year upon us, Buckeye is working on a new partnership with our schools, to provide a School FreeNet Program for low-income students in our community this fall.
To qualify for the School FreeNet Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Attends a K-12 school that offers part-time or full-time schoolwork to be completed from home.
- Does not currently have internet service in the home.
- Qualifies as a low-income household (on government assistance such as the Free and Reduced Lunch program).

EDCHOICE ACCEPTANCE FORMS
If you have received an EdChoice Acceptance Form from the Ohio Department of Education in the mail, please sign it and submit to Mrs. Snow as soon as possible. You may also scan or screenshot the signed form and email to email@example.com
Due to new State of Ohio requirements, reporting of ill/absent students should be done using firstname.lastname@example.org. It is important to report symptoms whenever possible. More details to follow in the Sunday Principal's Bulletin.
EXTENDED DAY HELP NEEDED

NEW STAFF MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Please welcome the newest member of the SCCS staff, Stacy Boals who is the Elementary Secretary/Receptionist! Stacy is SMCC class of 1989 and has two daughters who are also graduates, Mackinzie '16 and Savannah '19, and has a son, Timothy, currently in 8th grade. Her husband Tim is also active in the SCCS community including coaching on the Jr. High football staff. After graduating from SMCC, Stacy went on to the University of Toledo where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in communications. Previously, she worked in the hospitality industry, started an online baby blanket business, was a stay at home mom, and did volunteer work around the community. Her favorite thing to do is to travel with her family.
SCCS has partnered with Marco's Pizza for a year long fundraiser and our first pizza night of the 2020-2021 schoolyear is Thursday, September 17th. Let them know you are a SCCS family and Marco's will donate 15% of sales from the night for phone orders and 20% of the online orders to SCCS. Proceeds for our September Marco's pizza night will go to the National Honor Society. Every order also accumulates points that could help SCCS win a share of $50,000 at the end of the school year. The classroom, K through 5th, that gets the most orders will get free CheezyBread coupons for everyone in the class, so be sure to mention your teachers name when ordering over the phone or click on your teacher when ordering online.
SANDUSKY BAY FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The Sandusky Bay Flag Football League will begin play on September 28 at Sports Force Park at Cedar Point Sports Center. The league is open to all area youth grades 1st through 6th. Click here for more information.
While we do have extra masks for students who come to school without one, please make sure your student has a mask when he or she arrives at school.
2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR DRESS CODE
FACTS PAYMENT REGISTRATIONIf you chose FACTS tuition payments on your tuition contract, please sign on or register a new account on to the FACTS web site by clicking here. After the agreement is finalized, FACTS will send an email to confirm and notify you of the date the $45.00 enrollment fee will be deducted from the bank account or credit card provided. | PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS|
5th GRADE BAND
Fifth grade students have the opportunity to sign up for band for the 2020-2021 school year. First year band students will have the choice between trumpet, flute, trombone, saxophone, and clarinet. There are a few percussion spots available, but any student interested in percussion will have to meet with Mr. Hadsell.. There will be a meeting via Google Meet for parents of students that are interested in joining the band next Tuesday, September 15th at 6pm. If you cannot attend, the meeting will be posted in the 5th grade band Google classroom. Any student interested must be signed into the 5th grade band Google classroom by October to be a part of the class.. Parents check your email for a message from Mr. Hadsell; students should have also received and invite to join the google classroom from Mr. Hadsell as well.
SECOND GRADE PARENTS
If you haven't done so please register your child to receive their Sacraments at www.sanduskycatholic.org click on catechesis and registration. Your child isn't registered until this is completed and your child will fall behind in preparation.
