Good evening!
Hope you all enjoyed a relaxing Thanksgiving with family and friends. As we settle in for the next three weeks, I know that this is not only the busiest time of the year, but it is also probably the most stressful, mostly because our to-do-list grows larger every single day.
My wish for you as we begin the season of Advent, this coming Sunday, is that you stop and take time to enjoy the little moments that bring you joy, reflecting on how what we do brings joy to others and makes a difference in their lives. So what if the cookies turned out like hockey pucks, the lights don't work after you added the last ornament, or the dog and cat unwrapped the presents and dragged the wrapping throughout the entire house! So what, that is something to laugh at, and give you "paws" to step back, enjoy the laugh, and be thankful you have the chaos that God and his helpful angels put in your path, just to give you time to reflect on the season and let you know He is on His way.
As you make time to reflect and spend time with your loved ones over the coming weeks, you can begin this Friday, by coming to the Miracle on Poplar & Gulf and spend time with your EC family. I guarantee that even though the faculty, staff, and students will have put much time and effort into the event, it won't be perfect, but it will brighten your season and make you smile. One thing is for sure, we have been laughing a lot along the way. Join us and see the amazing Journey to Bethlehem cast, who were Live on WOBL/WDLW today, and meet Cleve, the camel! We will save you a spot next to the manger so you will have a front row seat to see Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Angel Gabriel, and a few wayward Wise Men!
In the meantime, keep the ripple going,
Annie Cunningham
