Happy Friday!

Remember that schedules will be available on HAC this Wednesday and Thursday, July 26th & 27th only! We will accept requests for changes, ONLY if there is an error. All petition requests have been reviewed and completed at this time. If the request was approved, then you can already see the change in HAC under course requests.

Students who will be taking Pre-Calculus next year, will see AP Pre-Calculus on the schedule as our entire district is switching from offering Pre-Calculus Honors to AP Pre-Calculus. Students will be expected to take the AP exam in May.

Please use the link below from the previous panther press with directions regarding scheduling and everything you need to know regarding Panther Pick-up. This previous Panther Press also has directions for submitting required documents for parking tags.

We had to create a new link for the Student Code of Conduct Acknowledgement and AUP quiz. Students who completed the old link are good as we have copied and pasted their info to the new link.

The link to the NEW Code of Conduct Acknowledgement and AUP form is: https://forms.office.com/r/0GwwAABez9

ALL students must complete this or they can not access a computer on campus. PLEASE complete the AUP quiz before Panther Pick-up.

Freshman Parents: As you sign-up your child for Link Crew Orientation, PLEASE put the child's name not your name. We have had several parents type their name and it is very time consuming to figure out who the child is. This Wednesday, July 26th is the deadline to sign-up for Link Crew Orientation.

Freshman Students & Parents: On Instagram please follow nease_link crew 2023-24

The Digitial ID from Leonards is now ready to download for all new students. Please go to your app store and search for Leonard's Digital ID. Complete the steps and you will be good to go. Returning students, please open your app to ensure it has rolled to the 23-24 school year. If not, delete and reinstall. PLEASE set-up to accept text messages as I text students reminders of schedule changes and info about events.

To have a senior picture in the Nease yearbook, pictures must be taken at Leonards.

Class of 2024 Remind

2024 Seniors and their parents can join the Class of 2024 Remind to stay up to date on senior class information. Please note that everyone joins through the join information below, but because of Remind limitations we may move you into a different section. When this happens you will get two notifications from Remind – 1 that you have been added to a new section and 2 a notification that you have been removed from the initial section. You do not need to rejoin! All sections get the same information! Please do not rejoin as that fills up the queue and prevents announcements from being delivered.  If you would also like to be updated on Senior Class information by using Remind you can join the class of 2024 Remind by texting @nease2024 to the number 81010

Class of 2024 Schoology

2024 Seniors can join the Class of 2024 Schoology group to stay up to date on senior class information. All current, rising seniors should already be added, however, if you were not, you can simply join by using the following access code: NB84-35J8-TQCFR

TEXTBOOKS AND LIBRARY BOOKS

Any textbooks/library books that were not returned have been marked as “LOST” and charged off to student accounts. Mrs. Millian will be back on campus the week of July 24th with limited hours. Students will not be able to check out textbooks for the new school year until their accounts are reconciled. Please understand that once students check out textbooks, they are responsible for their care and return as per Florida State Statute 1006.42 (see below). This past school year we received many textbooks with extensive damage, especially water damage.

Florida State Statute outlines textbook responsibilities and accountability:

1006.42 Responsibility of students and parents for instructional materials.—All instructional materials purchased under the provisions of this part are the property of the district school board. When distributed to the students, these instructional materials are on loan to the students while they are pursuing their courses of study and are to be returned at the direction of the school principal or the teacher in charge. Each parent of a student to whom or for whom instructional materials have been issued, is liable for any loss or destruction of, or unnecessary damage to, the instructional materials or for failure of the student to return the instructional materials when directed by the school principal or the teacher in charge, and shall pay for such loss, destruction, or unnecessary damage as provided under s. 1006.28(3).
