My apologies. I was rushing this morning to get the Panther Press out and forgot the date and times for the make-up Panther Pick-up.

Make-up Panther Pick-up for all grades
Thursday, August 9th from 8am to 11am
The campus will be available to everyone to walk their schedule again and to meet teachers. Some teachers will be off campus with their own elementary aged children for the district open house. The school nurse will also be available, if your child has medication to take at school.

I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer and is ready to start a new year on August 10th. The faculty and staff are looking forward to a fantastic school year. To ensure a successful start, we encourage everyone to attend their assigned Panther Pick-up or the make-up Panther Pick-up, so students feel prepared for the 1st day.

Panther Pick-up for Seniors
Friday, August 3rd from 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Panther Pick-up for Juniors
Friday, August 3rd from 3pm to 5pm

Panther Pick-up for Sophomores
Saturday, August 4th
Last names A - L from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Last names M - Z from 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Panther Pick-up for Freshman

Last names A - L from 8am tom 10am
Last names M - Z from 10am to noon

Panther Pick-up Stations
Station 1: Verification that Student Registration/Emergency Update form was completed online. If the online form has NOT been completed, students can NOT continue to other stations. A link was emailed to parents from the district. Links will be resent this week for those who still have not completed the online form.

Station 2: Verification that Student Digital Citizenship Quiz is completed. If not completed, computers will be available and your child will have to complete before moving to another station.
To complete the quiz, have your student(s) click on the link below.

Station 3: Schedules – You will only receive schedule, if Stations 1 & 2 are completed.

Station 4: Lockers - purchase use of locker for $5, if wanted

Station 5: Parking - students who recieved a spot and have submitted all required documents and paid will receive their parking tag. (ONLY JRs and SRs)

Station 6: PE Uniforms - $10 for shorts and $10 for t-shirt

Station 7: Join PTSO ($25) and/or IB Boosters ($35)

Station 8: Receive ID if attended a school in St Johns last year, if not take picture for ID.

Station 9: Check-out textbooks & receive free planner (9th & 10th graders only)

Stations 1 through 7 are in the cafeteria. Stations 8 & 9 are in the Media Center.

Calculators will also be sold for $15 in the cafeteria for students taking Algebra & Geometry.


Money can be placed into your child's lunch account using paypams.

Mrs. Milian is looking for parent volunteers to assist with textbook checkout.

Students can volunteer for double service hours to be textbook runners.

Student Parking Spot Auction: Did your student miss out on a parking spot? PTSO will be holding an online auction for TWO parking spots on Sat., Aug. 25. More info will be provided in coming weeks.

Nease Spiritwear Sale: PTSO is coordinating another Spiritwear sale from Aug. 4-20. The websale, through a local vendor, will feature various items including t-shirts (men’s and women’s styles), hoodies and car magnets. Jumbo Shrimp Game: We’re coordinating a Nease spirit-building event (also a fundraiser) at the September 1 Jumbo Shrimp baseball game. Tickets are available at Panther Pickup or email Joyce Barry at [email protected] .

Upcoming Meetings : Anyone is welcome to attend PTSO meetings, held on the first Friday of every month (starting in September). Meetings start at 2:30 p.m. (so administration representative can attend) and are held in Panther Hall.

Attention Seniors!!! Make Your Appointment for Senior Pictures For the Yearbook NOW!! We have several current seniors who will not be in the yearbook, because they procrastinated in making an appointment and there were no slots available.

To just get your Yearbook photo and one scene there is a $35 sitting fee. Get your photo made in June and get an extra scene for free. The deadline to get your photo made is in September and often appointments are unavailable once we return from summer break!

Please remind your students about our Summer Reading Bingo challenge where students have the opportunity to earn some great prizes for reading over the summer! 

 TEXTBOOK/LIBRARY BOOK INFO:
Many students still have outstanding textbooks, library books, and/or fines on their media accounts. Please DO NOT return any books to the front office. ALL books must be returned directly to Mrs. Milian in the media center and can be done during any of the above times. If students cannot make it during any of the hours, they will need to return the books during the first week of school. Any books not returned will be charged off to student accounts.

Web.com Tour Championship is hosting a free Junior Clinic Monday, September 17 th  at 5 pm. This will give the kids a chance to hang out with PGA TOUR professionals and local collegiate golfers, receive some cool prizes, enjoy food and drinks after the event and have fun playing golf!

We are in search of Junior Standard Bearers (kids ages 12-18) for the Web.com Tour Championship Thursday, September 20 - Sunday, September 23. Junior standard bearers will receive free admission to the Championship and will walk in the ropes and interact with the pros.
