A Note About Next School Year
As the 2020/21 school year draws to a close, I would like to share some news about the start of next school year. The calendar for the 2021/22 school year is included in this issue of the Panther Press. Important dates for the start of the year, vacation schedules, etc are all set for next year.
We are only making one plan for next year and that is for SJM to be back on campus for in person instruction, 5 days per week. It is our intention to begin in August as a normal school year with all the usual activities. We have not received official word from the California High School Athletic Association, but we are moving forward with our scheduling for the normal sequence of fall, winter and spring sports. As the summer moves along, more information about all extra-curricular activities will be published.
Due to the late dismissal this year, the summer will be a little shorter than usual. Participating in our usual summer activities will help get all of us back in our normal cycle of summer relaxation, followed by school in the fall. We all need to have down time this summer to be ready to go full speed at the start of next school year. There will be a lot to do when we get back to our normal routines.
Please look for upcoming issues of the Panther Press to provide you with the most up to date information about summer activities, preparation for school in the fall and opportunities to get involved at SJM.
To our students and families who were part of the SJM community this year, you did a great job of persevering through a tough academic year. For those who will be joining us in August, you are joining a great community and you have much to look forward to in the upcoming year. Thank you.
