Reception Area Officially Opened & Front of School looks Beautiful!

As of November 1, 2022 the front of the school officially opened. This will be our safe, secure, and single point of entry for parents and visitors. The newly conceived front entrance has opened its doors where you'll be greeted in a new reception area.

The school gates on the sides of the main reception area will still remain open ONLY for student drop-off and pick-up (before and after school). Anytime after 9 a.m. (during normal business hours) parents and visitors must enter the school through the NEW reception area.

On November 5, 2022 SJM's Beautify Fresno members were part of the annual Fresno Youth Service Day which included over 800 students and at least 14 high schools. Fresno's Mayor Dyer came out to the event and painted the graffiti wall with the volunteers. It was such a great event!

SJM Students Supporting Hinds Hospice Circle of Friends

We have a group of students that have dedicated the fall semester to be a grievance peer counselor for Hinds Hospice Circle of Friends.

Circle of Friends is a grief support program for children who have lost a loved one. The program pairs teen and young adult volunteers (14-24 years old) with grieving children (3-12 years old). They join as companions in a safe place and use child-directed play to process emotions.

Volunteers went through a training class and participate in group sessions throughout the semester. In addition, volunteers went through a virtual application night and a reference/background check.

Thank you to all students that are volunteering this semester. We are proud of your commitment to our community!
