In Our Prayers: This year we are praying for our school families. These are the families we will be praying for the week after spring break: Tammy & Kaeden Watson, Curtis, Mary Beth & Samuel Webster and Fred, Angela, Freddie & Addison Wedding.
Devotion of the Week: As we hosted our Grandparents Day today, it is a good time to thank our heavenly Father for the gift of grandparents. What a wonderful blessing they are to their children, grandchildren, and future generations. We are thankful for Christian grandparents who continue to pray for, support, encourage, forgive, and even admonish their children and grandchildren to remain faithful to their Lord through weekly worship attendance. During the week at school, here are some daily occurrences that happen with grandparents of our students:
  • Drop off and pick up grandchildren from school and child care.
  • Take grandchildren to appointments.
  • Pick up sick grandchildren.
  • Take their grandchildren to worship.
  • Attend sporting events and school events of their grandchildren.
  • Drop off a forgotten book bag or lunch.
  • Volunteer in the church and school.
  • Serve lunch to their grandchildren and students in our school.
  • Love their grandchildren unconditionally.
  • And the list goes on!
Thank you grandparents for your support of your grandchildren and their Christian education at St. Peter Lutheran School. What a blessing to know that because of what Jesus has done for us, grandparents and their grandchildren will spend eternity together in perfection. That will be a Grandparents' Day to celebrate forever!

If you haven't thanked your grandparent lately (or your parents who are your children's grandparents), don't forget to thank them for all they do for their grandchildren!
Serving in Worship: Serving in Worship: The Cherub Choir (grades 2-4) will sing on April 6 at the Lenten service at 6:30pm. Choir members should meet in the multipurpose room at 6:10pm. The Cherub Choir will also sing on April 10 at the 9:30am service. Choir members should meet in the multipurpose room at 9:10am.

Lenten Supper: There will be another Lenten Supper on April 6 at 5:00pm to support the Alaska Mission Trip. The menu is pulled pork, salad, chips, and dessert to support the Alaska Mission for Christ Vacation Bible School planned for July. Kaitlyn and Kaylee Dillleree as well as four Valley Lutheran students, a VL teacher, and a Peace teacher are traveling to Goodnews Bay to bring the Good News to their community. A freewill offering is appreciated.
Chapel Offerings: Thank you for your generous support for the 2021-2022 “Hearts for Jesus” Michigan LCMS School Ministries Chapel Offering Project. Our offerings will help fund the construction and furnishing of a kindergarten classroom at the growing Garuna Christian School in Tbong Khmum, Cambodia. This Lutheran Ministry currently operates a total of seven Garuna Christian Schools in Cambodia serving over 1,200 k-6th grade students who now have a chance to learn about Jesus, most for the first time. We pray for God’s continued blessings on this ministry.
