St. Peter Lutheran School Hemlock, MI
Our 7th-8th graders were able to visit Fullerton Tool on Friday and were given a tour by President Patrick Curry. This fit in very well with their Woodland Works project as they were able to see how a successful manufacturing plant operates.

Nurturing the Faith
In Our Prayers:  This week we will be praying for these St. Peter alumni who graduated from our school: Dominick Dempsey , class of 2012; Drew Bauer , class of 2016; Eliana Behnke, class of 2016 and Elizabeth Ross , class of 2012.

Devotion of the Week: Keys of the Kingdom Bible verse from Luke 11:28, "But he said, 'Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!'" As our second graders received their Bibles on Sunday from their parents, we pray that they remain Anchored in Christ as they read, hear, learn, and study God's Word daily. There will be many temptations to reduce their excitement and desire to read their Bibles daily, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, may God bless their time with their Bibles as it builds their foundation of faith throughout their lives!
Perfect Church Attendance:  Congratulations to  Owen Smith, Lucy Roberson, Charlotte Starke, Ethan Smith, Lucas Hagenow, Katie Hales, Gabriella Rodriguez, Brooklyn Brenner, Natalie McQueen, Olivia McQueen, Adelia Breternitz, Caleb Roberson, Anna Starke, Samantha Hales  and  Joshua Roberson  for their perfect church attendance for the first quarter.

Garuna Foundation Chapel Project: Thank you to our students for their faithful giving of chapel offerings. For our first quarter project we collected almost $600 for Garuna Kids, not including the money raised by Woodland Works Ornaments, our 7th-8th grade company. For the next two months, we will be collecting for Wellspring Services.
Quote of the Week
"I wasn't sure that we could do this, but we really came together and pulled it off."
- Comment from Nick Rapini about the 7th-8th grade Woodland Works project while he was drilling holes for the eyelets in the ornaments.

Woodland Works Ornaments: Our 7th-8th graders have done a wonderful job of carrying out all of the responsibilities of having a successful business. This past week they were busy finalizing all orders, staining and stamping ornaments, and packaging them for delivery. We are thankful to Board & Brush ( Mrs. Kelly Eddy) for allowing us to complete a large part of our project at her business. We also had a great tour through Fullerton Tool!
Guess That Artist: Ms. Parsell had all of our artists (5th-6th grade artists pictured below) guess which artist went along with which masterpiece. The winners were listed above.
What's Your Story
For our faculty devotions this week, Mr. Brian Heinlein shared a devotion on "A Mighty Fortress is our God" which is a great Reformation hymn. An interesting fact th at he mentioned was that there is actually a fifth stanza to this hymn. In 1817, for the 300th Anniversary of the Reformation, an additional stanza was written and can now be found in our hymnal under a different number and tune (LSB 582): "God’s Word is our great heritage and shall be ours forever; to spread its light from age to age shall be our chief endeavor. Through life it guides our way. In death it is our stay. Lord, grant, while worlds endure we keep its teachings pure throughout all generations!" Click here to read the full devotion .

We are always looking for additional stories to share. Please click here to send us your story to be published in the Panther Press .
