More Upcoming Events

Redeemed!

Redeemed: Our theme was a great reminder this week as we mourn the death of one of our former teachers at St. Peter, Miss Jean Thomas, who passed away on Tuesday. Miss Thomas served at St. Peter for her entire teaching career, 1972-2013, 41 years. She had the opportunity to teach so many children in her time at St. Peter with her primary goal to teach them about Jesus, and that is something she did every single day. Her involvement at St. Peter Lutheran Church and School was such a blessing, and now she rests from her labors as she is REDEEMED and is now at peace in heaven with her Savior. At this week's chapel service, we sang LSB 686 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing, and verse 4 is a great reminder to all of us that we are REDEEMED:

Oh, that day when freed from sinning,

I shall see Thy lovely face;

Clothed then in the blood-washed linen,

How I'll sing Thy wondrous grace!

Come, my Lord, no longer tarry;

Take my ransom'd soul away;

Send Thine angels soon to carry

Me to realms of endless day.

Thanks be to God for Miss Jean Thomas who taught children about Jesus, the One who has REDEEMED us all! We remember Miss Thomas's family in our prayers.
