Week of April 1st, 2019
Baseball traveled to Upper Perk on Tuesday to take on the Tribe. The Panthers scored 8 runs in the top of the 7th inning to secure the win. Ryan O'Neill '19 went 3-4 in the win, while Zach Hamilton '19 and Adam Ferdock '20 took control of the mound. On Friday the Panthers traveled to Pottsgrove . In a game that went back and forth unfortunately the Panthers could not hold off the Falcons and lost 5-4 in the 8th inning. Bryan Bendig '19 hit an RBI double to tie the game up in the 6th. John Wagner '19 added two doubles and Brett Leighton '19 pitched and added multiple hits in the loss.

Boys Tennis took on Norristown on Tuesday in last week' game of the week. The Panthers picked up their first win of the season sweeping the Eagles 7-0. Tommy Rutkowski '21 was able to fight back and defeat his opponent, while JT Collins '21 and Ben Grimm '19 also picked up singles wins. Matt Wilkes '21 , Terry Yang '20 , Jose Lugo '20 , Brett Christansen '19 , Ricky Gomes-Garcia '19 , Chris Hassold '21 , Brian Beatty '21 and Bruce Chao '19 all picked up doubles wins. On Wednesday the Panthers traveled to Boyertown. PJP dropped the match 4-3. The doubles teams of Brian Beatty '21/Bruce Chao '19 , Jose Lugo '20/Brett Christiansen '19, and Matt Wilkes '21/Terry Yang '20 posted wins in the close match.

Softball battled the rain on Monday against Villa Maria. The Panthers weren't able to shake off the cold and lost the season opener 9-3. On Wednesday the team had another hard task taking on Upper Perk . The Panthers couldn't fight of the Tribe and dropped the game 17-8. Ashlyn Lewis '20 , Allyson Hourigan '22 , Ashley Haggerty '20 , and Grace Harvey '19 all added two hits a piece in the loss. On Friday the Panthers finally hit the win column in a 15-6 romp of Pottsgrove . Allyson Hourigan '22 notched two doubles, while Alex Decampello '21 and Katie Talis '22 each added a triple, and Ashley Haggerty '20 had an in the park home run.

Girls Lacrosse opened their season on Monday at home against WC Henderson. The Panthers were unable to hold of the Warriors and lost 11-10. On Thursday the team traveled to Pennridge for an exciting match up. The Panthers were able to upend Pennridge in double over time to win their first game of the season 10-9. On Friday the Panthers opened PAC play by traveling to Upper Perk to take on the Tribe. Julia McLaughlin '20 , and Rory Neilsen '21 added 5 goals a piece in the win. Kallan Bustynowicz '21 added 3 goals to round out the scoring.

Boys Lacrosse opened their season with a non league match up with Roman Catholic . The Panthers picked up the road win dropping Roman 10-7. Ambrose Collilouri '21 scored 3 goals, Dom Romania '21 added 2, and Owen Dougherty '22 added 2 in the win. Jack Dawson '19 tallied 14 saves in goal. On Thursday the Panthers took on Upper Merion at home. The Panthers could not capitalize on their earlier week success and lost the PAC match up 11-3.

Girls Lacrosse
Julia scored the game winning goal in double overtime vs Pennridge last Thursday to give the girls lacrosse team their first win of the season. The Panthers went 2-1 on the week. On Friday, the team beat Upper Perkiomen in the divisional match up; McLaughlin added 5 goals in the 17-7 victory.
Baseball vs. Spring-Ford

Girls Track and Field opened their season with a 125-21 victory over Upper Perkiomen on Wednesday. The girls swept all relays and all three throwing events as well as the high jump - Katherine Fall '20 won the Discus (76-06) and the shot put (30-01) while Shannon Peters '22 won the Javelin (73-0). Mary Katherine Clearly '19 and Caroline Regan '21 also scored in the throws for the sweep. Winning two events a piece were Tess Crossan '22 in the 400 and 800 and Kayla Croiger '22 in the 300 hurdles and High Jump.

Boys Track and Field were overcome by The Tribe 60 to 89 . The Panthers performed well in the distance events, sweeping the 800 meter run and taking first and second in the 1600. Jack Phillips '19 won both events (2:09.67, 4:49.64). Other first place contributions came from AJ Natale '19 in the Shot Put (40' 02), Brett McMenamin '21 in the 300 hurdles (47.34) and JP Schiele '19 in the 400 meter run (55.46). In the relays, the Panthers won both the 4x800 and 4x100.
