GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in District Championships at Lehigh University on Friday. The boys team repeated as District 1 AA Champions. Jack Broisus '21 was the first PJP finisher and was the second place finisher overall. Jack Philips '19 finished in third place. Kaden Buchler '21 and Jack Flynn '21 finished 5th and 6th overall, while JP Schiele '19 finished 9th. Jason DiMarco '22 and Luke McCarthy '21 finished out the scoring for PJP coming in at 13 and 18 respectively. The girls cross country team brought home their first ever District 1 AA Championship on Friday. Kayla Croiger '22 was the first PJP finisher coming in at 4th place overall. Gianna Cagliola '22 was the second PJP finisher for PJP in 8th place. Katy Todd '22 , Julia Costello '19 , and Natalie Florig '20 finished out the scoring for PJP finishing 12th, 17th, and 23rd respectively. Both the boys and girls teams qualified for the State Championships on Saturday, November 3rd at the Hershey Entertainment Complex in Hershey, PA. The Girls AA races starts at 10:15 AM, while the boys AA race will follow at 12:30 PM. WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS AND SCORES
Girls Soccer traveled to Bishop Shanahan on Friday for the second round of Districts. After ending regulation in a 0-0 tie, the Panthers defense could not hold on any longer. Volleyball took on their PAC opponent Phoenixville in the first round of Districts on Wednesday. The Panthers downed the Phantoms in three straight sets. Hanna Tulli '21 led the stat sheet for the Panthers with 11 kills and 3 blocks. Haley Sports '20, Sara Ward '20 , Mikaela Monroe '19 , Chelsea Harvey '21 , Simone Sparano '19 , Maddie Lesinkski '19 , and Tea Pasquale '20 all made valuable contributions in the win. Football traveled to the other side of Upper Providence on Friday to take on the Spring-Ford Rams. After a sluggish start the Panthers were able to score 21 unanswered points. However, in the end it was not enough as the Panthers dropped their final game of the regular season 42-21. Kamal Gray '20 completed 19 of 30 passes two of which were touchdowns. He also added 52 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own. Stephen Skarbek '20 caught 8 passes for 145 yards and scored one touchdown, while Justin Kormos '21 added 6 catches, one for a touchdown and added another 27 yards rushing. Matt Dobrowolski '20 added a sack on the defensive side of the ball, while CJ McCafferty '19 tallied an interception. ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jack Brosius, Sophomore
Boys Cross Country
Sophomore Jack Brosius led the boys cross country team to a second PIAA District 1 Championship on Friday at Lehigh University. Jack came in second place overall in the AA race with a time of 16:29.60. The team qualified for the State Championships which will take place on Saturday, November 3rd in Hershey, PA.
