Panthers vs. Cancer is Monday, October 1st!
T-shirt order deadline is Wednesday, September 26th!
One of the biggest athletic events of the Fall, Panthers vs. Cancer will be held on Monday, October 1st. Game will start at 7:00 PM. All proceeds from t-shirts sales and donations upon entry will be donated to the Bott Cancer Center.

Don't miss the chance to buy this year's t-shirt! All orders must be made by Wednesday, September 26th . There will be no t-shirts sold at lunches or at the door. Make sure you use the code FREE2018 to remove shipping charge. All T-shirts for students and staff can be picked up at lunch on Friday, September 28th. T-shirts for CYO team members or outside community can be picked up on Saturday, September 29th at PJP.
WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS AND SCORES
Boys Soccer got back on track this week. The boys played Pottstown on Monday and came home with a win. The team won 7-0 with a host of Panthers scoring in the shut out. The team finished the week defeating Norristown 6-2. AJ Williams '19 netted 3 goals while Freshmen Justin Russell '22 had 2 goals and 2 assists. Girls Soccer also had a successful week. The girls started the week playing in the rain against Pottstown and earned a 3-1 win. 3 separate Panthers scored goals including last week's Athlete of the Week Julia Hull '21 . On Wednesday the Panthers traveled to Marple Newtown. The Panthers earned a 1-1 tie in the non-league matchup. Mary Kate Shannon '20 scored the lone goal for the Panthers. The girls rounded out the week at home against Norristown with a win. The Panthers blanked the Eagles 7-0. It was a total team effort as 6 different Panthers scored goals in the win. Boys Cross Country team opened their home season with a win. The boys defeated Phoenixville on Wednesday 25-30. Jack Philips '19 finished first for the Panthers followed by Jack Brosius '21 in third. The boys are 2-0 in the PAC so far. To read the full list of finishers click the link; PJP vs. Phoenixville ...On Saturday the team traveled to Hershey for the PIAA Foundation Invitational where the boys earned 6th place out of 29 teams, Jack Phillips '19 cross the line first for the Panthers in 23rd place.

Girls Cross Country also opened their home season on Wednesday against Phoenixville. The girls also raced away with the win beating the Phantoms 19-40. Gianna Cagliola '22 was the girls winner. On Saturday the girls joined the boys in Hershey, with a great showing placing 9th out of 29 teams... Gianna Cagliola '22 was again leading the Panther pack with a 34th place finish overall.

Girls Tennis played at home on Wednesday against Pottsgrove. The Panthers downed the Falcons 5-2 thanks to wins from Veronica Marinari '22 , Jillian Boyle '19 , Jordan Miller '19 , Shannon Farnsworth and Maggie Christiansen '20 , Kylie Smith and Lina Park '19. On Thursday the girls faced off against Upper Merion at Upper Merion. The Panthers downed the Vikings 5-2. The doubles team of Lydia Tewell and Ally Trust added to the win column. Golf played Upper Perk on Thursday at Gilbertsville. The Panthers were able to come out victorious 203-207. Jack Hershey '19 and Ben Grimm '19 were leaders for the Panthers. On Friday the team took on Owen J. Roberts. The Wildcats proved too tough for the Panthers who dropped the match 188-194. Field Hockey had a long week of games playing four games in a row. The Panthers started with an 3-2 OT win at Pottstown on Monday. Kelly Pires '22 scored the game winner 22 seconds into overtime. The team traveled to Bishop Shanahan on Wednesday. The Panthers could not contain their host dropping the game 8-0. On Thursday the Panthers took on Phoenixville. The Phantoms topped the Panther 9-1. On Friday the Panthers traveled to Norristown. The Panthers picked up their second win of season defeating the Eagles 8-0. Madison Green '19 tallied 3 goals, while Nina Mariano '20 scored twice. PJP ended the week at Marple Newtown on Saturday. Unfortunately the girls could not notch with the win dropping the game 2-0. Volleyball opened the week with a win at home. That Panthers downed visiting Methacton 3-0. Madeline Mucahey '19 led the stat sheet with 12 kills, 1 ace and 6 digs in the win. On Wednesday the girls were home again against a tough Berks Catholic team. The Panthers were able to squeeze out the win 3-2. A host of Panthers had impressive stats. Tea Pasquale '20 provided 10 service points a few of which came up big in the 5th game. The team closed out the week with an Upper Merion rematch. Unfortunately the Panthers were unable to upset their host losing the match 3-1. Mikaela Monroe '19 and Hanna Tulli '21 combined for 16 kills and 6 blocks. Chelsea Harvey '21 and Lexi McMonagle '21 had 18 and 16 assists respectively. Football opened their PAC schedule with a 40-0 victory over Upper Perk on Saturday. The defense was stingy only allowing Upper Perk 146 yards of total offense. Andrew Duff '19 , Matt Dobrowolski '20 , Bryan Bendig '19 , Stephen Skarbek '21 , and Chris Salvo '19 all contributed to big stops on the defensive end of the ball. On the offensive side AJ Natale '19 scored 3 touchdowns. Kamal Gray '20 threw for over 100 yards and ran for 47 more. Justin Kormos '21 and Justin Mitala '20 also scored for the Panthers, while Matt Moroz '19 opened up the scoring for the Panthers by kicked two field goals. ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Madisan Green, Senior, Field Hockey
The field hockey team had a rollarcoaster week, with wins on Monday and Friday. Madisan boosted the offense on Friday with a hat trick in a dominating 8-0 win against Norristown. Madisan was also named as a 2018 AP Scholar!
Ram Week for Boys and Girls Soccer is upon us. This week's game of the week is Boys Soccer vs. Spring-Ford at home on Friday, September 28th. The Panthers look to avenge a 7-2 loss to Spring-Ford last year. Come out and support the boys as they look to move into first place in District 1 AA.

The PJP vs. Pottsgrove game is up for NBC 10's High School Blitz's Game of the Week! Make sure to vote all week for all of your devices. The 5-0 Panthers are up against the 5-0 Falcons. SIMON'S HEART SCREENING
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th
The response for the Simon's Heart-Protect this Heart screening has been amazing. We currently have a waitlist. To be place on the wait this for this event please email [email protected]. Make sure you mention in the email that you would like to be added to the waitlist for the heart screening on Sunday, September 30th at PJP. You can also register for the next heart screening event at Hatboro-Horsham High School on November 3rd. We are looking for volunteers for the heart screening to assist with check-in, check out and station management. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Tracey at [email protected]!

Upcoming Fundraiser: Dine and Donate at Dairy Queen
September 25th

PJPAC will be sponsoring a fundraising day at Dairy Queen in Royersford, located at  301 N Lewis Road , on  Tuesday September  25 . No flyer is needed...just tell the cashier that you're there to support PJP and we will get 15% of the day's total. Thank you for your support!!

This school year, the PJPAC will be supporting each student-athlete through the following priorities:

Team Building ($15.00 per student-athlete) - Each team will have the opportunity to host a team building event during the season, the PJPAC will cover the cost of this event!

Senior Recognition - The PJPAC will provide a 3' x 2' fabric poster and reimbursement for senior flowers.

Senior Gift ($30.00 per senior) Each senior will receive a gift at the Paulie's Athlete Banquet in May!

State Qualifier Lunch (Wawa Shorti Coupon) The PJPAC will provide a wawa shorti coupon for each team member who travels to states.
CONCESSION STAND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

One of the main revenue generators for the PJPAC is the concession stand! Please consider volunteering for a home event by clicking on the link below.
Save the Date for PJP's 1st Annual Oktoberfest being held on Friday October 19th. The event will be held in PJP's main gym and will feature live music, beer and wine, and some German cuisine. This event will also help the older alumni, families and community kick off Homecoming. All attendees must be over 21.
