About what are you so passionate that you might say you “live for” it. I might say, “I live for waterskiing. I live for eating juicy ribeye steak. I live for working in my yard.” How did you answer the question? Did you respond, “I live for Jesus?” I admit that wasn’t at the top of my list. It’s so easy to focus on the things we enjoy in life at the expense of remembering what really matters. Think about Jesus. He lived...for dying...for us. The reason he took on human flesh and lived perfectly for 33 years was to destroy the devil’s work by sacrificing himself on the cross, paying for our sins, and rising again victoriously to assure us of his and our victory over sin, death, and the devil. Jesus lived...to die...so that we might live for him during this life and live with him forever in heaven.
