SARSCoV2 Main Protease and Multi-temperature X-ray Crystallography

Paper - SARSCoV2 main protease and multi-temperature X-ray crystallography

In a paper at IUCrJ by Daniel A. Keedy, et al., the SARSCoV2 main protease is examined using multi-temperature X-ray crystallography with temperatures ranging from cryogenic to room temperature as well as at high humidity.

Using this approach, the researchers "discovered subtle structural shifts that offer clues about how the enzyme works." 1 In addition, the findings from the research "may inspire the design of new drugs to counteract COVID-19—and possibly help head off future coronavirus pandemics." 2   (1 & 2 Brookhaven National Laboratory, 2022, Phys.org, First structure of key COVID enzyme at human body temperature)

Our MiTeGen MicroMesh loops and MicroRT capillaries were used in this research.

New Cryo-EM Grid Clipping Tools

Cryo-EM Grid Clipping Tool Set

The new grid clipping tool set for cryo-EM consists of 3 components which are the clipping tool, C-clip bottoming tool and the clipping tool rack.

The clipping tool is designed to make the loading of C-clips and clips grids easier and helps avoid frost from environmental moisture. The C-clip bottoming tool provides an easier and more efficient way to “bottom” the C-clip at the tip of the barrel of a clipping tool prior to clipping. The rack holds 4 clipping tools at once which makes your workflow smoother.

NVH Oil for Room and Variable-Temperature Diffraction Measurements

NVH oil for room and variable-temperature diffraction measurements

Have you tried our NVH oil for your room and variable-temperature diffraction measurements? NVH oil is a very high viscosity oil that minimizes crystal motion during data collection, even when thick layers are used to prevent dehydration.

NVH oil has been used in numerous research projects and is trusted by researchers. See a sampling of these projects via Google Scholar.
