A Painter’s Journey:

From age 18 year old

Judith is an artist, writer and PaperWorks member. She graduated from Pratt Institute and later moved to Boston, where she earned an MFA in Art Education from Boston and taught art at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA. Her work has appeared in group shows and she has had several one-woman shows in the Boston area. One of her works was accepted into Tucson Museum of Art’s upcoming 2025 Arizona Biennial exhibit.

During this “limited edition” 3-day Meetup, participants will learn the art of crafting or improving their personal artist statements for: their work in general, specific individual works, a body of work; and will also learn what the difference is between an artist bio and the artist statement.

Artist statements are not only for those who exhibit, nor are they for art snobs, art critics, or for telling people what to think about your work. A well-crafted artist statement is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself as an artist to understand your process, clarify your ideas, reveal new insights and help people connect with your art!
