Express Yourself: The Artist Statement
Lyn Hart
JAN 11 | FEB 8 | MAR 8 1-3PM
Oro Valley Public Library, Meeting Room
1305 W Naranja Dr, Oro Valley, AZ
Click on Creative Meetups link above to go to PW website
During this “limited edition” 3-day Meetup, participants will learn the art of crafting or improving their personal artist statements for: their work in general, specific individual works, a body of work; and will also learn what the difference is between an artist bio and the artist statement.
Artist statements are not only for those who exhibit, nor are they for art snobs, art critics, or for telling people what to think about your work. A well-crafted artist statement is one of the most valuable things you can do for yourself as an artist to understand your process, clarify your ideas, reveal new insights and help people connect with your art!
