PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
About two years ago, our PaperWorks friend, artist and teacher Maria Lee made a bold decision. She sold all of her stuff and moved to France — for the fun of it and to make her dream of living and making art in France a reality. Maria is one of my favorite people. She is playful and full of joy, luminous and spacious. Someone who seems to make more space in the universe, just by being in it. She always gifts me with something profound.
So, recently when she visited Tucson, I asked her, are you happy? Do you have any regrets? And she replied - “I am Content. Happiness is too fleeting. It’s too much work. I get a great haircut and I am happy, but only for a little while. Contentment comes easy and it burrows more deeply. I choose to live in Beauty and I am Content.”
I am re-gifting these words to you, in the hopes that we can all find our way to contentment right now. That we may all choose to live in Beauty. And that we all get a nice haircut that makes us Happy.
Thank you for your wise words Maria Lee!

Speaker: Vinnie DiMeola
Reflection, Finding Meaning in Everyday Interactions
Vinnie Di Meola specializes in intricate hand painted patterns and vibrant abstract portraits and totems. All of his art is fueled by timeless inspiration, curiosity, and bringing deep thought into something beautiful. The patterns create specific vibrations, and the colors used are gradients to create distinct motion and emotions whether they be neutral and calming or vibrant and uplifting; seamlessly blending into any environment.
“Reflection is a recurring theme in almost all the work. My natural interest is in observing different perspectives and finding the common place where they all merge together. This is what truly brings the magic into my work. It’s not just one story, but many stories within the story.”

across the waters to create many ripples."
