A Unique Para Track & Field Opportunity!


USATF Oregon Association will provide an opportunity for Para Athletes to compete during the Association’s Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships June 25-28 at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon.


This is a wonderful opportunity for current Para Athletes to compete as well as a casual, no pressure introduction to the sport of Para Track and Field for first-time athletes


Individuals aged 7 to 18 years with physical, visual, or intellectual impairments may participate in the Junior Olympic meet and not be charged an entry fee and no requirement to join the USATF. 


The Para events will be:


• 100 meters

• 200 meters

• 400 meters

• Shot Put (implements will be provided)


Medals will be awarded to the Para Athletes. 


These Para competitions will be exhibition events and integrated into the able-bodied competition schedule. They will not require a strict functional classification. The times and marks from these competitions cannot be used to advance to a regional or national Para meet or be used to meet a qualifying standard. Para athletes that wish to advance, should register for a non-exhibition event
