4th of July Parade Run a success by any measure!
 It seems like just yesterday, runners were lining up on a cool summer morning to kick off Redwood City's 4th of July celebrations with a run through town along a parade route lined with cheering fans.
While every Parade Run is a success, this year's Parade Run was better than ever, breaking records both in funds raised for our Redwood City School District students and number of participants.
We thank all our sponsors and volunteers, our runners and walkers, and our partners, for making 2013 Parade Run a great day for Redwood City!
PARADE RUN FUN FACTS- Close to $40,000 raised for music for our Redwood City School District students.
- 1113 runners.
- Runners came from as far away as Maryland and Virginia.
- Our oldest entrant was 84 years old and our youngest was one.
- There were 10 runners in the 70+ division.
- We had 159 runners in the 0 to10 division.
- More than 40 kid runners were graduates of the City's Ready, Set, Run training program.
- 59 babies and tots made the run under stroller power.
- This year's overall winner was Sean Sketch from Stanford with a speedy time of 15:00:52; that is a 4:50 pace.
- The first woman was Stephanie Dinius from Palo Alto, CA with an amazing time of 16:37:43; a 5:22 pace.
