Dear MACS Families,

Open your heart, open your home—our international students are here and waiting for a family like yours! We have international students already here and enrolled at McDonell Central Catholic High School who are in need of long-term host families. Host families provide three meals a day, a bedroom, and a welcoming home environment. Families receive a $500 monthly stipend and the joy of sharing in a cultural exchange.

These students are eager to start their school year and need your support now. A special thank-you to all the host families who have so generously welcomed a student! Host families are still needed for the following students:

  • Lily, Senior Girl from France
  • Saba, Junior Boy from Georgia
  • Ilya, Senior Boy from Georgia

To learn more about becoming a host family, reach out to Leah Christopherson with SMG or Mrs. Jimenez at school.

Faith Formation Opportunity for Middle & High School Students

As we prepare for the new school year, Campus Ministry is excited to share an additional faith formation opportunity for your middle and high school students through our local Catholic parishes. St. Charles Parish will again host Wednesday night youth groups—EDGE for middle schoolers and LifeTeen for high schoolers—focused on small-group discussions, mentorship, and fellowship.

MACS families can register for free using the special link provided in the letter below from Michael Van Hemert, Director of Youth Ministries. Please disregard other parish registration links, as they do not waive the fee.

NEW! This year we are introducing Living Rosary, a new small group program for middle school students. Groups of 4–6 students will be led by a trained volunteer mentor who will walk with them in faith. Together they’ll talk about the faith, ask hard questions, pray, and grow in friendship. These groups are optional and meet outside of class times.

If your middle school student is interested—or if you are a community member who would like to be a mentor—please contact Ms. Lily Rozeski at l.rozeski@macs.k12.wi.us.

🙌 Middle School Retreat Chaperones Needed

  • 6th Grade Retreat – September 23
  • 8th Grade Retreat – September 18

Please reach out to Ms. Rozeski if you’re able to chaperone.

NEW! We are also excited to launch Serva Fidem, a new small group program for high school students. Like Living Rosary, these groups of 4–6 will meet with a trained mentor outside of school hours to talk about faith, ask meaningful questions, pray, and build friendships.

If your high school student is interested—or if you’d like to serve as a mentor—please contact Ms. Lily Rozeski at l.rozeski@macs.k12.wi.us.

🙌 High School Retreat Chaperones Needed

  • Freshman Retreat – October 16
  • Senior Retreat – October 10

Please reach out to Ms. Rozeski if you’re able to chaperone.

Scrip News!

Scrip will be selling at home Volleyball games (as volunteers are available)! They will be set up in the Commons before and during the game. We accept cash, check, and now have an electronic option! With the electronic option, you will also incur a convenience fee of 3%. We will have a limited amount of cards on hand. If you want to fill out an order form and pay for it, we can send the cards with your student the next school day.

An electronic payment option is now available!  But with this convenience, comes a 3% fee which we will be requiring the customer to cover. We will have a QR code available for you to scan which takes you to a DonorPerfect site to enter your information and payment option - either debit/credit card or bank routing/account information. The system does not save this for future transactions for your security and ours.

Sign up for RaiseRight!  Purchasing national e-gift cards or reloadable cards directly from RaiseRight is super convenient! And when you purchase through them using your EFT information (routing/account numbers), you only pay a 29 cent fee per transaction! Credit/debit card purchases garner a higher fee amount. Check out the MACS website Scrip page for the QR code to sign up!
