Faith Formation Opportunity for Middle & High School Students

NEW! This year we are introducing Living Rosary, a new small group program for middle school students. Groups of 4–6 students will be led by a trained volunteer mentor who will walk with them in faith. Together they’ll talk about the faith, ask hard questions, pray, and grow in friendship. These groups are optional and meet outside of class times.

If your middle school student is interested—or if you are a community member who would like to be a mentor—please contact Ms. Lily Rozeski at l.rozeski@macs.k12.wi.us.

NEW! We are also excited to launch Serva Fidem, a new small group program for high school students. Like Living Rosary, these groups of 4–6 will meet with a trained mentor outside of school hours to talk about faith, ask meaningful questions, pray, and build friendships.

If your high school student is interested—or if you’d like to serve as a mentor—please contact Ms. Lily Rozeski at l.rozeski@macs.k12.wi.us.

Junior Achievement (JA) in a Day Coming to McDonell!

We’re excited to kick off another school year — and that means McDonell’s JA In A Day Career Day is coming up on Thursday, October 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.!

We’re inviting parents and community members to volunteer and inspire our students by sharing their career paths and experiences. There are a few great ways to get involved:

  • Classroom Volunteer – Lead a Junior Achievement lesson for a group of about 20 students. No teaching experience needed! JA staff provide full training and materials.
  • Career Fair Booth Host – Set up a booth in the gym to showcase your job or company. Students will rotate through and explore careers from all 16 career clusters.
  • Entrepreneur Panelist – If you own a business, join our panel to share your story and encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs.

This is a wonderful way to connect with students and help them explore their future possibilities. Feel free to invite coworkers, friends, or family members to join as well!

MACS Local Wellness Policy

A Local Wellness Policy (LWP) guides schools in creating an environment that supports students’ health, well-being, and learning. The McDonell Area Catholic Schools Education Commission recognizes the strong link between nutrition, physical activity, environmental education, and academic success—and the vital role a healthy diet plays in helping students achieve their best.

MACS families are encouraged to read through this policy linked below, or reviewed on our website at anytime. MACS families are also welcome to provide feedback through the Wellness Committee by contacting Aaron Kasper at a.kasper@macs.k12.wi.us. We are always seeking passionate individuals to join this committee, which plays a vital role in reviewing and carrying out the Local Wellness Policy for our schools.
