Dear Mercy Families,
Last Friday, Mercy’s faculty and staff spent a day of retreat together at Mercy Center in Burlingame. We began the morning together with prayer and reflection as well as discussing our hopes for Mercy as we begin looking forward to the 2019-20 school year. Later we engaged in different activities designed to help us to get to know one another as a faculty and staff—and participating in a bit of good-natured amusement. As we worked on team building, we know that such bonding will empower us to support your daughters in an even more unified way. Before we ended the day, we celebrated the more than 400 years of service from those present among us.
This is something to be celebrated by the whole Mercy community! We currently have seven employees who make up half of our collective years of service. The ASB students participated by decorating “jerseys” with the employees’ names and number of service years with Mercy. This week, the jerseys were displayed on classrooms and office doors. Thank you to our ASB students, Ms Deng, and Mr. Ornelas for helping us celebrate our faculty and staff’s dedication to Mercy High School.
Finally, nearly 250 guests enjoyed our sold-out Crab Feed on Saturday night in McAuley Pavilion. It was an absolutely wonderful evening, the result of a great deal of dedicated work on the part of the parent committee, and the Development and Facilities departments. The crab was delicious, but the reward of supporting Mercy High School was even better! Special thanks to all of the Mercy girls who served up the feast in a very professional way!
During this winter season, stay healthy and take care of one another!
In Mercy,
Sister Carolyn

Thank You for Another Successful Crab Feed!
|
|
On Saturday, February 9, nearly 250 alumnae, parents, and friends packed McAuley Pavilion for this year’s Crab Feed at Mercy, raising more than $16,000 for our students.
Guests were served the best crab in the City by Mercy students and enjoyed a balloon pop raffle, performances by the Mercy Choir, a photo booth, and more! The energy in McAuley Pavilion was infectious and the evening was filled with incredible company as memories were made by all.
On behalf of the entire Mercy community, thank you to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event. With your help, Mercy raised more than $16,000 to support educational opportunities for our young women at Mercy.
We are so proud to have such dedicated Mercy supporters in our community! With each Mercy event you attend, you are contributing to our students' education and the vitality of our school. We cannot thank you enough!
