Head of School Message
Dear Mercy Families,

Next week we will have a major event as we celebrate Mercy Day on Tuesday, September 24. It actually cannot be contained in a single day, so we are spreading over “Mercy Week”! On Tuesday, we will have a special Eucharistic celebration in McAuley Pavilion at 9:45 a.m., to which all of you are welcome. The day, actually the feast of Our Lady of Mercy, is a big day for all Sisters of Mercy around the world and it has also come to be a special day for the Mercy High School community as we celebrate our unique identity which celebrates God’s merciful love. There will be a surprise or two for our Mercy girls throughout the week, which will culminate in a good deal of fun at our Mercy Play Day on Friday.

But before then is another important event:  Back to School Night on Thursday, beginning at 5:45 p.m. The importance of building a relationship between families and teachers cannot be overstated...and this is an excellent opportunity to network with your daughter’s teachers and learn about her classes first-hand. We look forward to seeing you then!

I conclude with a gentle reminder of the importance of everyone’s participation in our Parent Pledge Program. As you no doubt are aware, tuition does not cover the expenses of the school to provide your daughter’s education. I ask that every family participate at whatever level you can to help us make up the difference. Even if you’re not able to make a large pledge, to have 100% family participation in this program makes a big impression on other benefactors when they see your level of commitment and support. And if you’re able to give more…well, that’s okay too! I’m grateful for whatever is possible for your family — thank you!

In Mercy,
Sister Carolyn

Parent Pledge - Due Sep. 30

Your Parent Pledge letter should already be in your mailbox. Please make your gift today so we can reach our goal of 100% parent participation by September 30.

The Parent Pledge is a multi-year gift that gives our parents the opportunity to help offset the financial gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating your daughter. Rather than raising tuition, we rely on our parents to support Mercy by making a tax-deductible gift that is both generous and reasonable for each family.
