Beyond Sunday

God is our place of safety. He gives us strength. He is always there to help us in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 NIrV

Israel Captures Jericho

Joshua 6:1-16, 20

God is strong, so I can be brave.

As your kid starts their day, remind them: “Whatever you face today, you’re not alone! God is strong and He will help you be brave.”

While on the go, ask your kid: “When do you feel the most nervous or unsure? How could God help you in that moment?”

At a meal this week, have everyone answer this question: “What is something that feels hard or scary right now?”

“Jesus, thank You that You are stronger than anything we face. Help us trust You and be brave, even when we feel afraid.”

Last Chance! Free Books!

Many of you have been part of conversations over the past several months (or even years) about the many transitions happening in our buildings and shared spaces.

We’ve had a church library in our past, and we look forward to having one in our future. For now, as we discern what that future will look like, we’d like to share books from our former library with our congregation.

We have announced over the past three weeks that books from our former library have been available on the tables in the Great Hall for anyone who would like to take them home. There are many wonderful books to choose from, including hymnals, Bibles, and some especially great children’s books.
This Sunday, October 4, will be the final Sunday the books will be available in the Great Hall.

Please stop by the tables, grab a bag, and take any books that interest you. We hope you’ll find something meaningful to bring home and enjoy!
