Prayer for the Care of Children

Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Amen ( BCP #46, p. 829)

A Special Wonderful Wednesday Presentation :
ESG Investing - Do Your Investments Reflect Your Values?

Do you know what type of companies your money is invested in? Do you want
to direct that investment based on what is important to you? Our society is becoming more values-based people want to "do good" with their investments as well. This can mean screening your portfolio for companies that are good to the environment, support human rights, and have transparent management.

Join us and learn more about what ESG Investing is, and how computer technology is now allowing investors to quantify the positive impact their investments are having on society.

Parishioner Michael Pompian will highlight recent trends in the growing
area of ESG investing, and show how your investments can both grow, AND
make the impact you want in the world.

Parents Share Rules for Screens and Sleep

Many have kids or teens with devices in their room during bedtime, and have fought to change that and felt defeated. Parents say things like:
"I go to bed before my teens, so there is no way for me to make sure they turn them in, so I have given up." Or, "They sneak in screens, so why even try." Or "They have to do homework late into the night, so why even have a rule about this?"
Do any of those sound familiar? If so, check out this article for dozens of rules and solutions other families have come up with around how to keep devices out of the bedroom during sleep hours.

Five Reasons Your Teen and PreTeen Want You to
Set Boundaries (sort of)

In homes where parents set clear boundaries for their kids’ behavior, kids are actually less likely to rebel–especially when parents take the time to discuss their expectations with them. Why would your kids want you to set boundaries for them in the first place?

Faithful Generations Adult Sunday School Class

All interested adults are invited to join this class which meets on Sundays in the library from 10:30 - 11:00 am. This is a group of parents, grandparents and interested adults finding community and supporting the faithful growth of our families. This year we will be reading   The Road Back to You  by Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile. This book provides a nice introduction to the Enneagram which can help all adults understand themselves better in all relationships, especially those revolving around the family. Feel free to come even if you don’t have or haven’t read the book. We will discuss challenges and successes in raising families in faith.
