Four-hour Parent Member Certification for parents/families with children with IEPs

TWO upcoming dates - you choose! September 9 or October 28.

The four hour training is broken up into a morning and afternoon session with a break for lunch You must attend morning and afternoon sessions to be certified as a Parent Member. 

This virtual workshop will provide an overview and best practices approach to the CPSE/CSE process. Parents and Parent Members will learn to develop techniques and strategies to become effective members of the IEP team in their respective roles. This training is open to anyone interested in learning about the special education process, or even as a refresher course on CPSE/CSE! Any parent or guardian whose child has or had an IEP in the last 5 years, will receive a certificate for submission to their school district to serve as a Parent Member at CPSE /CSE meetings.

Presented by the Mid-Hudson Early Childhood FACE Center, Mid-Hudson Regional Partnership Center, Hudson Valley School-Age FACE Center, Lower Hudson Regional Partnership Center (LHRPC), and the Lower Hudson Early Childhood FACE Center.
The Community Support Network (CSN) at Westchester Institute for Human Development is the Hudson Valley’s resource for individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals supporting them.
