Dear parents,
I cannot believe that we are now approaching the middle of July. Our office is buzzing with excitement as we continue to work arduously in preparation for the new school year. Charles Bowden once said, “summertime is always the best of what might be”. That is the approach we take at MDJDA, taking advantage of the summer to continue to develop professionally, grow in our approach to curriculum and instruction, and advance our mission of educating the next generation of bilingual, faith-filled, global leaders. We are both engaged in a constant reflection of the school year we just completed and are re-energized by the potential of the new school year. I hope your summer is allowing you and your family to find that time to reflect and re-energize. Continue to enjoy the summer and we will see you soon.
Blessings,
Leticia Oseguera

Hello Families,
I hope you have been enjoying your time with your children. Just as this summer continues to be a learning experience for you and your children, I have also taken the time to continue my learning. Together with Mrs. Varela, Mrs. Poqui, Mrs. Guerrero, and Mrs. Oseguera, I traveled to Boston to participate in the TWIN-CS Summer Academy. This Summer Academy reminded me how we are all a light for those we encounter and how even in the darkness, we must come together to create light. Psalm 28:18 reads “For it is you who lights my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness”. Mater Dei has been a source of light for me.
Enjoy your summer!
