Pre-12 Back to School Events

Lower School - Back to School/Meet the Teacher
Students/families in Preschool-6th Grade are invited for a Back to School event from 3:30-7:30 PM. Parents and students are welcome to visit classrooms to meet their teachers and familiarize themselves with the campus. In addition, there will be a special back to school presentation in the auditorium. Please plan to join us at either 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM for the presentation.

Upper School – Back to School/Student Orientation
Students/families in Grades 7-12 are invited for a Back to School event from 1:00-5:00 PM. This event will be an open house for all returning 8-12 students to pick up schedules, meet teachers, and complete any additional paperwork. There will be a specific orientation program for ALL 7th grade students 1:30-3:30 PM, and an orientation program for NEW 9th grade students and high school transfers from 2:30- 4:30 PM. If you cannot attend the Parent Welcome Fiesta, forms and other important information may also be picked up on this date. Please contact Mrs. Becca DeMarais with questions at 651-925-8702.

Upcoming Events
K-12 First Day of School - Monday, August 26
The first day of school for Grades K-12 starts Monday, August 26, at 7:55 AM. K-6 students will report to their homerooms; all 7-12 grade students will report to their 1st period classrooms. Please note that Kindergarten dismisses early at 11:30 AM for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the first week of school, with no lunch being served. Dismissal for the remaining students is 2:45 PM.
Curbside Coffee - Monday, August 26
Come celebrate with us as we ring in the new school year! Immediately following drop-off on Monday, August 26, parents are invited to join us in the cafeteria for complimentary coffee and donuts or take a cup of curbside coffee to go.
Picture Day - Thursday, August 29
School picture day is Thursday, August 29. Four parent volunteers are needed to assist with student lists at one of three camera locations from 7:45 AM until 1:00 PM. Parent volunteers will each receive a $35 coupon toward any Lifetouch package/purchase. Please contact Mrs. Becca DeMarais in the Main Office at 651-925-8702 if you can assist.  
 
Students will be photographed in their school uniforms, with the exception of seniors. Dress code for seniors includes shirt and tie with dress slacks and shoes for boys, and dresses, skirts, or slacks with blouses or tops for girls. Bare shoulders are not allowed. Additional out-of-uniform guidelines are listed in the parent/student handbooks.
 
Lifetouch will have three cameras available throughout the day in the Auditorium. Students will receive picture packets from their teachers to bring home and fill out for Thursday. You may also pre-order photos at  mylifetouch.com  using ID# EVTN6XS4P.
Freshman Field Trip - Friday, August 30
9th grade students will spend the day off-campus on a team-building field trip. Casual clothes and closed toe shoes are required. Transportation, t-shirts, and lunch will be provided. First Day of Montessori Preschool - Tuesday, September 3
The week of August 26 (first week of school for K-12 students) will be a β€œphase-in” week for new Montessori Preschool students. A schedule will be sent in mid-August to Preschool families on the phase-in process. Please contact Ms. Angela Boris , Lead Guide, with questions at 651-925-8770.
Senior Leadership Retreat - Sunday & Monday, September 8 & 9
Seniors will spend Sunday evening through Monday afternoon at Mt. Olivet Retreat Center developing a foundation for their senior leadership in the student body for the 2019-2020 school year. Reminder: Please Submit Back to School Forms on Permission Click
Each household should have received by now three email invitations from Permission Click to complete back to school forms:
  • Transportation Reimbursement and MN Non-Public Aid Request
  • Student Health Information – Annual Update
  • Student/Parent Handbook Agreement
The email invitations only to go the primary household email address as indicated in TADS/Educate. If you have not received the email invitations or have not been able to complete the forms, please contact the Main Office. Thank you for your timely responses!
7-12 Schedules & Course Change Requests
Schedules for Upper School students will be distributed Thursday at our Back to School event, and are also visible in Educate. Students/parents may inquire with the Guidance Office ( Mrs. Rachel Kemp or Mr. Alex Loesch ) about changes or adjustments. Course availability may be limited by section capacity. Please keep in mind that dropping or switching a course that was requested last spring will incur a $75 course change fee. In addition, parent approval will be needed for major changes (e.g. dropping a math class, switching to a different science course, or dropping an honors section for a regular section of any class). The opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to request changes ends on the Friday of the first week of school, August 30.
Cafeteria Deposits for 2019-20
Welcome back to school, Aggie Families! Cafeteria deposits may be completed on either the school website (look for Online Payments on the lower right corner) or through Educate (look for Cafeteria). We also accept cash/check in our Main School Office or Business Office. 

Recurring transactions may be set up. Near the bottom of the screen, look for Frequency . If you had recurring deposits set up for 2018-19 you will need to set them up again for 2019-20. Please contact Sandy Veal , Finance Manager, with questions at 651-925-8815.

Free & Reduced Meal Applications
Please complete the Application for Education Benefits form (which was included in the July mailing or may be downloaded from the school website .) A new form must be completed each school year. An income chart with the application offers more information on who may qualify. Please contact Sandy Veal , Finance Manager, with questions at 651-925-8815.
Parents at Prayer Eucharistic Adoration
New this school year! Parents are invited to pray before the Eucharist on the First Wednesday of each month. Beginning September 4, each First Wednesday daily Mass (at 6:30 AM) will be moved to the Upper Church. Exposition will follow from 7:00 AM until 8:45 AM. With our K-6 students in attendance, we will have Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament followed by Holy Mass at 8:45 AM. Please consider joining our school community in prayer!
