February 2020
You’re Invited: Family Weekend 2020!
Friends and families are invited to participate in this year’s Game Night themed Family Weekend, scheduled for March 20-22 . The Campus Involvement Center is excited to welcome friends and families on to campus to live a day in the life of their student with opportunities to attend events and utilize services. This year’s exciting events include a father/son magician duo, brunch bingo, and glow in the dark mini golf. Those who pre-register are guaranteed a limited edition, custom deck of playing cards.

At Mercyhurst, we truly believe that Hurst is Home and you can find family in those around you. We welcome all students to attend our events, even if their family is not able to attend.

Families who plan on attending any portion of family weekend are encouraged to pre-register. All information, including the registration form, schedule of events, and hotel discounts, can be found on the registration page.

We look forward to showing you why Hurst Is Home!
For a limited time, if you make a gift of $20 or more to the Mercyhurst Annual Fund through our campaign page, you will receive this year's t-shirt.

The shirt is short-sleeve, dark gray, with a front pocket and features Carpe Diem, the shamrock, and the anchor – all on one tee!
Upcoming Retreat opportunities! On Friday, February 7  we will have our “Live the Third” retreat for those who have participated in a Carpe Diem retreat, taking them to the next level of spiritual self-awareness.

Speaking of Carpe Diem, our very popular retreats will continue with CD 14 to be held April 3-5 at Villa Maria Retreat Center, a weekend of self-discovery that is led by a team of student leaders and our Intercollegiate Gathering, sponsored by the Diocese of Erie, is a bi-annual event that invites students from all of the colleges in the diocese to come together for a day of fellowship, exploration and spiritual sustenance. This year it is being held at Gannon University on Saturday, February 15

Encourage your student to become involved in some of these great activities which can only enhance their college experience!

Save the Date:
On April 21 we will hold our Mass of Thanksgiving at 3:30 p.m. We're excited to induct our first ever group of Student Mercy Emissaries at that Mass. Also, our celebrant for the Mass, a very popular Franciscan priest and theologian, is offering a public lecture that evening to commemorate the 50 th  anniversary of earth day. Learn more here!
