Wishing You a Blessed Thanksgiving from Gross Catholic

Dear Gross Catholic Families,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of Gross Catholic High School. This year, we are especially thankful for our vibrant community of students, parents, faculty, and staff who make our school a place of compassion, faith, and learning. Gross Catholic is a vibrant and high performing school because of you and your efforts.

In the spirit of gratitude and giving, we would like to encourage you to consider a gift to our Annual Appeal- https://grosscatholic.org/give-support/give-to-the-annual-fund/. Your generosity directly supports the educational experiences and opportunities of our students, funding everything from academic programs to extracurricular activities that help them flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

No gift is too small, and every contribution helps us continue to provide the quality Catholic education that our students deserve. Your support makes a lasting impact on the future of our school and the success of each student. Please reach out to Mark McNamara and our Advancement Team-https://grosscatholic.org/give-support/ways-to-give/.

We wish you and your family a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving, filled with peace, love, and gratitude.

Thank you for being part of the Gross Catholic family. DUX ESTO!

With Blessings,

Stephen P. Eubanks

Head of School

Thanksgiving has a little different meaning for me this year. Back in August, I had the opportunity to come back to the place that has impacted my life in so many ways. I am blessed to be a Gross Catholic alum, married to a fellow alum, parent to four graduates, and now to be part of the staff. I get to tell the story of an amazing group of dedicated teachers and administrators that go above and beyond for their students. I feel blessed with the opportunity to meet with all members of the Cougar Family, whether alums, parents, past parents, grandparents or benefactors.

Gross Catholic is such a special place and I am so thankful to be part of the team to support the next generation of Cougars!

Mark McNamara ('90)

Vice President of Advancement

We are fortunate to have such great students here at Gross Catholic. To continue to grow, we rely on the help of our students to share how special this place is. Each year, we make visits to over 25 middle schools, host nearly 250 students for shadow visits and welcome around 100 families to our Open House. Our amazing Student Ambassadors are always willing to give up some of their free time to assist when needed. At Open House this year, over 25% of all students volunteered three hours of their Sunday to give tours of the school and share their stories with prospective families.

The students do a phenomenal job of showing our visitors what it means to be part of the Cougar Family. I am so thankful to be here at Gross Catholic and for the opportunity to watch your children shine!

In January - Student Council is bringing back the Winter Formal on January 11th!

If the ladies are interested in shopping for a dress over thanksgiving break please remember dresses are similar length as homecoming dresses. Long dresses are reserved for Prom. Corset dresses and dresses with sheer panels or large cutouts are not appropriate and should not be worn. Super short dresses are also not appropriate and should not be worn. Dresses can have thin straps or can be strapless but if you plan on dancing and jumping around - wear a dress that stays in place!!!

Please purchase dresses that promote your dignity as a precious daughter of God.

Gentlemen - dress code for winter formal is similar to homecoming. Dress pants or Khakis are a great choice. A collared shirt and maybe a tie is also a great choice. Leave the jeans at home!
