Gross Catholic has some exciting news! We have a new partnership with Santa Maria del Pilar High School in Spain. They are a Marianist school and will be sending four sophomores to study here at Gross for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are looking for host families for each of these students. The students will be here for the entire school year, August through May. The host families will receive a stipend of $200 per month. You would be responsible for getting the student to school each day and would need to provide lunch for them. They will be a part of your family for 10 months.

We are very excited to offer this opportunity to fellow Marianist students! If you have any interest in hosting a student from Spain, please reach out to Ryan Larson at larson@gcgmail.org

Parents of current Juniors,

The Metro Career Academy program is offered to Gross Catholic seniors each year. This program allows seniors to attend classes at Gross in the morning and then go to Metro for classes in the afternoon. Please see the information listed below and contact Mrs. McNamara if you have questions.  jmcnamara@gcgmail.org

Campus Ministry

If your child is interested in joining us at Steubenville Catholic conference this summer, keep reading!

We are still ironing out a few details, but we have secured 44 student spots for Steubenville 2025 (https://partnershipforyouth.org/steubenville-joliet/). Did you check-out those speakers?

When: June 27-29 (We are working to add one 1 day to this pilgrimage - June 26 - in order to have an afternoon/evening for prayer and peace at Indiana Sand Dunes National Park. This will not add to the cost of the trip. We should know before the end of December whether this additional day will be included or not.)

Where: Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois

Cost details: The actual cost of this trip is close to $700 per person, but Campus Ministry is seeking donations to off-set the cost of this pilgrimage. You will only be responsible for $600 for this trip.

A $50 deposit is required to secure your child's spot. Payments of $150 will be due by the 24th of each month, Jan, Feb, Mar, with a final payment of $100 due by Apr 24.

What is included: Charter bus travel, hotels, breakfast and lunch on June 28 and 29, Dinner on June 27 and 28, 3 tee-shirts, and conference registration.

What is not included: All meals on our travel days (we usually brown bag the first day and then purchase 1 fast food meal on our way home). Any purchases made at the conference.
