Friday, March 27 is our all-school Mission Day.
This is a day of reflection, prayer, and community. This year we are bringing in a special speaker, and we would love to have you join us! Scott from Guadalupe Missions (https://guadalupemissions.org/) will share with us the love of Christ through the gift of His mother Mary. We will discover how St. Juan Diego's "yes" to the will of Lord changed the Americas and the world. Scott will give the same talk two times: 8-9:30 AM and 9:35-11:05 AM. We will also have Reconciliation from 11:15-12:45.
Cougar Cup Field Day is Wednesday, April 1
As we celebrate another year of growing as a Cougar family, we welcome the Class of 1976, celebrate the sacrifice of the Mass, and compete in the final games of year as the Cougar Cup is awarded at the conclusion of the day. Here are some details you need to know:
1. All students should wear their House shirt with sweats or their school-approved uniform. If your student needs a new House shirt, they may purchase one for $15 in Campus Ministry. Please make arrangements to do so BEFORE April 1.
2. Field Day lunch - We have special catering on Field Day!
***Lunch must be pre-purchased. Students may buy their lunch Tuesday, March 24-Friday, March 27. Tickets are $8.
Catering options are Panda Express (orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, green bean chicken, or broccoli beef all served with chow mein and a Fat Boy ice cream bar) or Casey's pizza (2 pieces of pizza: pepperoni, taco, cheese, or sausage breakfast all served with a Fat Boy ice cream bar).
3. Cougar Cup Champions - If your student's House should win the Cougar Cup, students will need to order their winning House tee at the conclusion of Field Day. In addition to providing shirt size, Cougar Cup champions will need to pay $10 for their shirts (check, exact cash, Venmo). Money must be collected on April 1 at the conclusion of Field Day. The purchase of the Cougar Cup Champion shirts are optional!
Heart Ministry & FRESH Floral
Heart Ministry provides food, healthcare, and a way forward to people severely affected by poverty in the Omaha area. This program is near and dear to our hearts. In fact, twice a month throughout the school year, our Seniors serve at the pantry. In addition to the pantry resources, FRESH Floral is a community-minded social enterprise of the Heart Ministry Center. This means that every purchase at Fresh Floral supports the mission of this nonprofit organization in North Omaha, which aims to provide food, healthcare, and a way forward to individuals severely affected by poverty in the Omaha area.
You can assist this important work by purchasing your student's Prom flowers from FRESH Floral.
