Blessings for Preschool Parents...
God loves to hear the honest cries of your heart and
your child's. Spend time in prayer this week with your little ones. Help your kids to talk openly with God now so it will impact the way they view prayer and talk to God themselves when they are older.
DAY 1: COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS TOGETHER
At the dinner table or at bedtime, spend time talking about things that have blessed you or the family. After everyone has had a chance to share their blessings, thank God together for the good He's done. When we model thankfulness to children, we help shape the way they respond too. Thankfulness can also help reduce stress levels.
DAY 2: PRAY THROUGH
THE DAY
At certain times each day, pick a theme to pray about with your kids. It could be for the country, a specific family member, your neighborhood, etc. Each day, pray with your child for that day's theme at those specific times. For example: pray for your neighbors when brushing your teeth, before eating each meal, every time you wash your hands, etc.
DAY 3: PRAY THROUGH PRAISE SONGS
Everything we do can be an act of worship. Pick one of your child's favorite worship songs and sing it together. Then use the lyrics to pray a prayer together. Then sing and pray the song for the rest of the day!
It's likely that your little ones are asking lots of questions that are hard to answer right now. The questions are hard to answer because you don't even know how or what to answer. You're not alone! Almost overnight, our daily routines - which help promote stability in young children - were upended with no real definitive time on when daily routines will return. For now, we adjust to each day bringing "new normals".
DAY 4: CLEARLY DEFINE YOUR DAYS
Give each day of the week its own theme. This will help build a rhythm and a sense of structure for "new normals".

A Few examples:
Taco Tuesdays - In addition to tacos for dinner, have breakfast tacos too. Make taco jokes, sing taco songs, give taco hugs...
Wacky Wednesdays - Wear socks that don't match, make wacky sandwiches for lunch, style your best wacky hair...
Funny Friday - Play minute-to-win-it type games, have knock-knock joke competitions, have a funny clown or costume pet parade, etc.
Service Sunday - worship together online HERE , find reasons to serve each other...
DAY 5: BE THE EXAMPLE
Take care of yourself spiritually during this time so that you will be able to give your kids the support and answers that they need to hear.

Even if your children are asking difficult questions, try not to show alarm on your face. Your little ones need to know that you are a safe person to talk with and they can talk with you in a safe place. Listen to them completely; they may not have all the right words to really express what they are feeling and thinking. Allow them the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings in their own words.
